Yeah, Julie, I'm with Susan...how long did it take you to lose that 10lbs? I'm right about 136 and probably 18% bf, and want to hit about 128 and 14%...without losing much (or any) muscle...You look awesome, very ripped! I'm with the others, very inspired. I started with 1 chin up and can now do 5 consecutive...I'll shoot for sets of 20 now!!!
Thanks! I lost the first 5 pounds pretty quickly, water and all. Since then I have lost about .5-.80 lb a week. REAL SLOW. But it's OK, I'm not starving and my workouts have not suffered at all. For me, 14-16 weeks for another 10 pounds I'd guess. I began Elite the first week of September, roughly 12 weeks for 15 pounds, but that first 5 pounds was the first week. Then reality hit.
Wow Julie! You don't look fat in your before pictures but you look very lean in your after! I know that doesn't make sense but you can see a big difference! Great job!!
12 years ago in the haze of a hangover I read Oprah's Make The Connection. It changed my life. I lost the fat, I put down the booze, began eating in a healthy manner, began to walk, then run. Run On! I first began running marathons. Liked it so much I found some crazy ultra runners in MN who showed me the trail and ultramarathons. 39 marathons and 40+ ultra marathons later ( 15 100 mile ultramarathons in the past 5 years) I am sober, lean and happy. I am now inspiring others to run, as Oprah inspired me. Coaching beginning runners is a gift I like to give every day. It's not just about running..it's about all that comes with it: goal setting, empowerment, a belief in oneself, being true to oneself. 2007 brought 4 100 mile finishes, 2008 brought 4 100 mile finishes, a BQ and PR at TCM, a PR at the 100 mile trail distace at Javelina Jundred: 23:13. 2009 brought another PR at the 100 mile distance! Amazing. Lean Horse 100, a dream come true. What holds for 2010? WHO KNOWS?? NOT I!

You look awesome! :) Is that a Tattoo on your lower back. It looks cool, what is it?
Julie,
we need a closer shot of the tattoo :)
Julie, you are my hero! How long did it take you to get to 129? I'm at 137 right now and want to get to 125 by my February marathon.
